Monuments
Numerous fountain-monuments have been built in Goris. Among them are the ones dedicated to the civil wars (author: Ara Harutyunyan, 1961) and the 1941-1945 The monument perpetuating the memory of the people of Goris who died in the Great Patriotic War (R. Israelyan, 1943), the monument to the writer Aksel Bakunts (author: A. Harutyunyan, 1961), the spring-memorial and khachkar of the victims of the earthquake (author: Sevada Zakaryan, 1989), the monument to Andranik Zoravar near the gate of the house where he lived for about 9 months (author: Sevada Zakaryan, 1987), the bust of Sero Khanzadyan in the yard of the school named after him (author: Getik Baghdasaryan, 1998), the statue of Gusan Ashot in the yard of the house of culture of the same name, the statue of Grigor Tatevatsi in the square of the same name (author: Sevada Zakaryan, 2010).
