Harsnadzor Watchtower

An old watchtower has been preserved in the gorge to monitor the advance of enemy troops. It is the third in a series of watchtowers built in Zangezur. Noticing the enemy, the Kornidzor watchtower would sound an alarm, which would then be echoed by the bell of the Khot village, then the Harsnadzor watchtower, and finally the bell tower of the Tatev Monastery, the sound of which spread over a radius of 50 km. By destroying the Khot bells, the enemy disrupted this communication chain. The tower has been preserved in the Harsnadzor watchtower to this day, along with its chain that used to hold the bell in the past.
