Bekhu Anapat or Napat

Bekh Desert (other names: Tandzaparakhi or Aristakes Desert), is located 4 km southeast of the Bekh district of Kapan city, on the eastern slope of a high mountain, in a forest. It was built in the 10th century, and in the 20s of the 17th century, it was rebuilt by the priest Aristakes.

There is an opinion that it is the Paravarto monastery mentioned in history. Some historians etymologically interpret the word paravarto as meaning “glorious end”.
