Arevik National Park

It was established in 2009. It is located in Syunik region, on the southern slope of the Meghri arm of the Zangezur mountain range, as well as in the watershed of the Astghadzor and Nyuvadi rivers. The area is 34,401.8 hectares. The object of protection is the unique flora and fauna of Meghri. The territory of the national park contains vertical natural zones and various types of landscapes: alpine meadows, mountain steppes, forest masses, semi-deserts. It has rich biodiversity: Asian leopard, Bezoar goat, Armenian mouflon, Mediterranean turtle, Armenian viper, Caucasian otter, Caspian turkey, Caucasian hen. Here you can go wildlife watching and bird watching.
